Protector or Topper — Which Do You Need?
A protector is a thin, mostly-invisible layer that defends the mattress you already have — waterproofing, allergen and dust-mite defense, no real change to how the bed feels. A topper is thicker and sits on top to actually change the feel — softer, firmer, or cooler than the mattress underneath. Different jobs: a protector defends, a topper transforms.
